Difficulty estimating the cost of a job

Posted by Ian Ellis, on
This is a general question: when you post a job on the site you have to estimate the cost. In the cases where I have posted I have had no idea what the job might cost and have plucked a figure out of the air . I'm aware that this might have stopped people responding as I have given too low an estimate what should I do?

Each time you post a job in order to gain a response tradesman have to purchase the lead and pay up front in order to obtain your contact details. Rated people seem to calculate the cost that the tradesman have to pay based upon the customers budget. An example being that a job with a £4,000 budget will cost a tradesman around £45+vat for the lead. Our advice would be rather than increase you budged provide a detailed description and add photos is possible. This will show potential tradesman that you are serious and they will be more inclined to purchase your lead.
