Wall issue

Posted by Steph Stafford, on
We recently moved into our first house. First thing we did was to paint the bedroom wall. All the walls appeared in good working order, without any noticeable cracks etc. The walls were replastered in the last two years as they added an en-suite. The last couple of nights we’ve had the bedroom window open as it’s been warm. This morning a large raised section in what I assume is the plaster has appeared in the corner near the window but not coming off the window. It doesn’t feel damp but the plaster definitely feels like I could pull it off easily. There are ridges which have appeared from the raised section. When tapping the wall it goes from a brick sound near the window to a more plasterboard sound about 20cm away from the window, heading to the corner (in the area where the large cracked/raised section has appeared). Just unsure of what could have caused it and how we should address it.
