I'm 'diy-ing' or trying to.....
My stairs have been stripped of the carpet, filled, sanded, primed but I'm unsure of the next step. I want to have the painted runner in the middle and a smaller line each side, for which I've got grey floor paint gloss finish anti slip etc. But to match the gloss look I wanted to use gloss white as a base. Can I use a water based gloss over all and then mask out the lines to be painted with the floor paint? Thank you
