Small wood rot hole in worktop.

Posted by Laura Brown, on
I rent and my landlord doesn’t want to do anything as doesn’t see it as an issue. There is a small hole behind the sink on the worktop that has got wet as the sink isn’t sealed. I want to replace the sink, as it’s old and hoping it will prevent any more damage. Can I use wood filler to seal the small hole? If so would I be better doing that before I replace the sink or after? Many thanks
