Smart thermostat wiring

Posted by Rob Haves, on
I have bought a smart meter from Tado to replact my wired thermostat on a newly purchased house. The wire to the thermostat does not come directly through the wall, but runs down the wall from the ceiling. The new Tado thermostat does not have a case that allows the wires to enter this way, they need to come from behind it. Is the best thing to do to just buy a couple of blocks of wood to mount it on so that there is space for the wires to come down behind it, or is there a more professional looking product that will allow me to achieve the desired affect? I can't find anything to help.
