Installation of built in oven

Posted by Elaine Moyies, on
I'm about to order a built in oven from a high street retailer. They charge £90 to remove old oven and fit new one. Is this a reasonable price. Or would I be better posting on this site?

Hi I would recomend to post a job on main website because some of a job needs to be seen before any advice is given. Our service is free of charge with no obligation quote and our tradesmans are happy to help with every aspects of jobs. I would strongly recomend to post a job on Rated People home page then 3 companies will get in touch then you would be able to choose the right person as you would receive an e mail with a link to tradesman account where you would see a pictures and you will read revious from previous customers. I hope this will help Best regards Rafal

In my opinion you should just let the retailer do both. An electrician would charge £65 just to fit an oven and no electrician Ive ever met cares about moving ovens about. The type of person would be a removal man that does electrical work as a side line and you don't want that type of person doing electrics, trust me.

Hi, Most trades people would charge around the £75.00 to do the same job. The extra is not unreasonable when factoring time and energy to sort it....one hit and the job is done. Hope that helps.

What would you like to do now?
