Hi Lesley, Obviously something is or has been wrong if that's happening.Obviously I've not seen the problem but My advice would be to get this checked by a qualified electrician as soon as possible and I would isolate the shower until this is done and deemed safe to use.You could post the job on this site or if your in Lancashire find me on Facebook. You should have an inspection carried out or just call an electrician to check, this must be seen to make a judgment call.
