Hi Sarah, ELECSA and NAPIT and other competent person scheme providers are just as good as NICEIC. In fact any electrician could issue an EICR without being registered; as it does not involve installation work. It is down to the individuals knowledge and experience. However, if not registered/assessed for domestic work under Part P with a scheme provider they might not be able to do all the remedial or improvement work that the report shows.

Hi Sarah. By 17th Electrical Regulation there is no information about NICEIC so any qualified electrician can do it . You can also find information about who is competent person and for what is responsible . Regards Bogdan from Proton Proton on Facebook
