Fuse box relocating

Posted by allison ireland, on
Can i move my main fuse box on to the other side of the internal wall from the hallway into the kitchen? Is it a big job and would it be an electrician i use? Any ideas on how much too would be appreciated.

Hi Alison Is it just the main fuse box you require moving or the whole of the electrical equipment? As David states you will need an electrician to carry this out for you. Cables may need to be jointed, extended If however you require the whole lot ie Main Fuse, meter etc you would need your electricity company to move the meter etc as a normal electrician is not allowed to move this part. As David also says its not a cheap job to do Hope this helps Russ

hi Allison yes it is possible an electrician would be needed cost can be between £300-£600 depending on what is involved with altering the cable positioning.

What would you like to do now?
