Electrical

Posted by Paul Chambers, on
Building an external wall along my path - want to put lights in it - going to get in rendered before calling an electrician (through this site) to connect up. I just want to put the cable through the wall for rendering. Should I run a single cable from each light position to a central point or should I run the cable into one light, loop another cable to the next light etc and bring the 2 ends back to the central point - eg parallel or series? Cheers Paul

Hi Paul, I would leave the circuit as a radial. You shouldn't need to make it into a ring. Whether you loop in and out or star out from a central point is more from a practical point of view. regards Andy

Hi Paul Doesnt matter which way you do it. Depends on the type of lights you are putting up,some lights may be a bit tight with 2 cables so I would just run the one Thanks Russ
