Certifications

Posted by Phil Davie, on
As part of a building job had outside lights fitted. Builder is charging extra electrical certifications which as far as I know are a requirement. Should the work have been carried out without certifications?

Hi Phil NO the work should not be carried out without certifications. The builder should NOT be charging you extra for certifications. The electrician should carry out the work and have no problem issuing a cert to cover his work.Notifiing the job under Part P of building regs is only 3 pound anyway if thats what he;s getting at Hope this helps Russ
