I want to remove the fitting and replace it. There are no screws around the edge of the casing. There is a small circular cover in the centre of the light but this is lying flat and doesn't seem to unscrew. How can I get this cover out? And is this how I remove the fitting?

Hi Claire, That dome looking nut in the middle of the light fitting will release the whole light fitting if you unscrew it. Push the whole light fitting towards the ceiling while you undo the nut with the help of some pliers. Hope this helps,
