Can electricians plaster things?

Posted by Alison Ritchie, on
I have a job that needs doing, but I'm not sure if an electrician could do it all or if I need a plasterer too. The previous light fittings in our hall (not fitted by us!) were too heavy for the ceiling and have partially fallen out, leaving holes in the ceiling. So we need the light fittings replaced with something smaller, such as spotlights, and the hole in the ceiling plastered up. Could I find an electrician to do both, or will we need a plasterer as well? Thank you!

Hi Alison, To be honest it depends on the electrician, some will and some won't.. Personally I usually do repair superficial things like that. Regards Steve

Hi Alison, You'll need an electrician to fit the new light fittings and a painter/decorator to fix the ceiling and make it good at a standard that no electrician can do it. Thanks,

What would you like to do now?
