Bathroom extractor fan

Posted by darren green, on
Hi the fan is not working but the light on the front remains on. There is an isolator switch, is there a fuse in there that may need replacing? thanks Darren

Hi Darren, It seems that the motor of the fan stopped working. You need an electrician to investigate if there is power going to the fan and if there is, then you have to replace the extractor fan. There is no fuse in the fan's isolator. The isolator only switches off the permanent feed, the switched live and the neutral which go to the fan. Regards,
