Hi George, Any decent electrician should be able to identify if a circuit is a radial circuit or a ring just by removing the front cover of the consumer unit and looking at the way the cables were terminated into the fuses (MCBs). It is also true that some rings because of a fault or unqualified human intervention become two different radials. Other times because there are no more spare fuses in the fuse board, some electricians terminate two different radial circuits in the same fuse giving the impression that that circuit is a ring.
