Replacing gas hob

Posted by Jill Mans, on
I would like to replace my gas hob with an induction hob. Would I need both a gas fitter (to remove and cap off) and electrician to install the new hob? Also, not sure if the aperture size would fit new hob.

Hi Jill, You definitely need a gas engineer and an electrician. For the gas engineer it's an easy job. For the electrician it's a bit more involving job, because he has to run a new cable from the fuse board all the way to the new induction hob. The aperture should be the same 600mm, unless you bought a wider hob. Regards,

What would you like to do now?
