What amp size connector do I need for the upstairs lighting?

Posted by Allan Melville , on
The fuse box downstairs is 5amps for the lights up the stairs but I'm needing to install a connector box on the wire upstairs for the lights as the wire has been cut apart in error. What type of connector will I need to reconnect the wire up the upstairs lighting wire?

Hi Cheryl, The cable can be fixed with through crimps and then the connections protected with shrinking tube if the connection is not going to be accessible in the future. If the connection is going to be accessible then you can use a junction box to join the cables. You'll need an electrician to do this job for you. Regards,
