Rewire 1890s-1900s house with 1970s extension

Posted by Eilidh Watson, on
Unsure whether house needs rewired as has been done at some point previously. Will be hoping to do some internal alterations to walls over time e.g. knock through to make additional doorways/look at adding en suite. Not sure how to go about this if not knocking through straight away/for a few years. Also, will be looking to renovate extension more immediately, which will require some building work as well.

All you would have to do is a quick test of the cables which should only cost you £65 at most, this will tell you what condition your electrical cables are in. I hope this answer you question. Thanks Kevin.
