Bathroom extractor fan replacement

I am wanting to get my extractor fan in my bathroom replaced, I'm not too sure what trades person would do this job. I will also need there advise on what exctractor to buy. I'm not too sure on how much this would cost so advise would be appreciated

Hi Jemma, Usually this sort of work is done by an M&E (mechanical & electrical) contractor, depending on the type of fan. If it is going to be an electrical one you definitely need an electrician, but a good handy man should do the job. Thank you Niko

Hi You will need an electrician to do this for you. If your bathroom has a window it will be a normal type fan whereas if you have no window you will need a timer model which runs on for a set time once you turn off the light. Depending on your location you will be looking at £80-£100 to have the fan replaced
