TV over electric fireplave

Posted by Hitesh Ramsahye Maraz, on
I would like to set up a fireplace on the wall and have my TV over it. Is this recommended? My worry is the that is generated from the fireplace would rise to the TV unit. I have seen a fireplace which supposedly is fine for a TV to be placed above it.

Hi Hitesh, I don't think there will be any problem with this as long as the hot air from the heater not going straight into the TVs unit . If it's a plasma TVs then no good idea as plasmas get hotter than led ones . U can try measuring the temperature with the heater on If you are around m25 and need assistance I can help Thanks

It would most likely be fine. Run the heater for a prolonged time and leave a thermometer roughly where the TVs will be and see what temperature it reaches. A tv should run easily at 40 degrees but check the manufactures book anyway to make sure
