Replaced halogen with LEDs

Posted by Emma , on
I have three ceiling lights in my hallway, two downstairs and one upstairs. I have replaced all the g9 halogen bulbs with LED versions. Downstairs fine however when replacing the final upstairs bulb, on removing the final halogen the LED bulbs all came on, dimly, and they haven't gone off since. Any advice on why this is happened and how to solve it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Emma, That could be a neutral fault on the circuit. In some old electro installation is the neutral switching instead of phase. You may have a dimmer switch up stairs which is not compatible to your new LED light bulbs. Is difficult to say what exactly is in your scenario without proper check.
