We recently used an Electrician from your site who fitted a ne fuse board. We constantly asked him for a certificat which you have to have now, but he hasn't got back to us. Do you check traders, Qualifications

Hi Anne. RatedPeople do not check qualifications at all. I defiantly wasn't checked anyway. But the answer to your question: Even a qualified electrician although would be able to carry out a fuse board change, they would not be able to sign it off or notify building control which has to be done for replacement consumer unit unless they are registered with the local authority's (Council), or one of the body's such as NICEIC, Elecsa, Napit. You should revive your certificates no later than 18 days after work is complete.
