Get an electrician to check that the current fused spur isn't being used by an appliance. If it is then the answer is no you can't replace with a normal socket

Is it OK to change the face plate on a fused spur to an ordinary socket? I am replacing the shower pump and the new pump has its own fuse and comes with standard plug power. Location is the hallway airing cupboard, the purpose is it powers shower pump. The old pump is a boss and the new pump is a salamander ct force.
