You should not extend cores. I would either seek an electrician or an alternative manufacturer that would allow for connections to be completed safely.
Electrical wire too short

I want to replace a socket with a USB socket - easy job to manage myself, but then discovered that the live wire is too short to reach connection point. Is it possible to extend the wire easily or is it a more complex task?
