Without seeing a picture of the fitting I would suggest turning the front in a circular motion. That should undo the front, you could also try a little tug on the front towards you to see if it is a push pull fitting.

How to get the bulb out to change it. No clips on the plastic unit which houses the bulb. Different to our kitchen downlighter which pop out easily. Can provide picture
