Power out

Posted by David Morgan, on
In Sept last we had no elect power to the house, called out an electrician, he said we needed new circuit breaker, he fitted that and power restored.  Then just before Xmas no power again.  We called out the provider EDF - they said it was not their responsibility must be something between meter and house.  So we called another electrician who said the ‘company fuse’ had gone.  He replaced it though he said provider should have done it.  All power restored.  We were away over Christmas, got back yesterday no power again.  Called provider again because we assumed company fuse had blown again.  They say fuse is working.  We call the other electrician who fitted new fuse.  He says fuse is broken again and we need an EICR.

Hi David, the electrician was right, you would need an EICR to determine the problem and then rectify.

What would you like to do now?
