Kettle or oven

Posted by Linda , on
While using the oven the fuse box tripped. When I flipped it back on the oven wasn’t working, no heat and no fan but clock was still on. Later that day I put the kettle on and the fuse tripped again. The kettle no seems to be tripping the fuse all the time. Is this a coincidence or did the kettle cause the oven to break?

It could be tripping due to the fault on the oven , so when the kettle is switched on, drawing power It’s tripping the RCD. Isolate power to cooker and try Kettle then. Or try kettle in a different socket circuit ie upstairs sockets .The kettle definitely didn’t damage the oven .Theres also a 100 other reasons this could happen . Wouldn’t be any harm to get an electrician to take a look . Better safe than sorry
