Lights

Posted by Junior Turcid, on
For about a week the lights in the bathroom all of a sudden stop working, but the fan switch still does work. So, the owner of the house girlfriend bought a lamp to use as lighting who left to Florida to visit him. Then, I decided go take a look at the light switches and see if I cloud do anything to fix, I choose not to bc it look way to complicated. I noticed that the light switch if you were to push it softly that the fan would stop working. I started to get frustrated bc I couldn’t get the white square thing to fit on properly. As I tried to get it back I saw a little spark on the fan side of the switch. So, I switch it on and off a few times still seeing the spark and then all of a sudden the lamp that’s plugged in to the outlet next to the switches goes completely off. The lamp doesn’t turn on anymore, but the switch for the fan still works. Lastly, when the lamp turned off I heard like a loud spark noise. So, what’s the problem and how can I fix it without hiring an electrician bc I have no money

If you are not the owner of the property you certainly shouldn’t be messing about with electrics you need to call a qualified electrician to sort the problem out I should think that the home owner would be responsible to pay the cost if they are renting the property out
