Electric test when buying a new home

Posted by Andrew , on
We are in the process of buying a home that i think was built in the 1940's-1950's, they have a had a new fuse box fitted recently, we were wondering is it worth getting a tradesmen to come out and do an electrical test/report to see if the house needs partial or full rewiring within the next 5 years before we go ahead and buy the property? Any advice would be great. Thanks

Hi Andrew If there is certification with the new install, this will cover cable Integrity However it will not be a full EICR for peace of mind to ensure the house is fully compliant is advise getting a full EICR
