Light fitting

I have taken a fluorescent light down from my kitchen to replace with a standard spot light fitting, the problem is there are quite a few wires and I have lost electric to my ceiling lights, I'm guessing I have disconnected a loop wire if so could you please advise as to how much it will cost to repair and fir new lighting which I have already purchased, many thanks
