Fuse box

Posted by Lauren Sproule, on
When an engineer came to fix my hob, he told me the fuse box was potentially dangerous. In brief he said : reverse polarity; live & neutral acd protecting cooker circuit didn’t trip with short to earth. How dangerous is this?

Hi Lauren, This is extremely dangerous, in short there is no way to isolate (switch off) the circuit(s) and the safety switches in place will not operate under a fault current. You should rectify this ASAP It 'should' be relatively easy to fix from a qualified electrician (like myself) I hope this helps
