Electrical certificate

Posted by Robert Varns, on
I need a 10 year electrical certificate on my 4 bed property in Dartford. How much do they cost? How long does the work take? How soon is the certificate available? If problems are found is it advisory notices or work must be corrected at the time?

Hi Robert, I can confirm that Dan's firms price is the same in Bristol (what I charge anyway) Timescale would be anywhere between 4 and 8 hours generally depending on the amount of circuits and how accessible those circuits are Certificates should be given to you straight away (speaking for myself again) The correction of said works (depending on the extent of them) should really be fixed as soon as possible but if you own said property and are living in there (not renting) then the safety of the installation is really your responsibility so you could essentially dictate the timeline on the possible rectification(s) if there are any at all Hope this helps Steve

It always depends on how many circuits there is at the consumer unit (fuseboard) we as company Charger a flat fee of £150 up to six circuits then £5 per extra circuit but this price is south devon and may change per area of the country.
