Spot lights not working properly

I have spot lights on the ceiling throughout the flat. In the front room, several of the lights are not working any more. However, if you knock them and push the glass up slightly they come back on again. This will last a short time then they go out again. Do you know what the problem is? It clearly isn't that the bulbs have gone as the lights come back on again if given a knock. Thanks.

Hi Debbie, Sounds like there may be some loose connections either in the spotlight itself or on the terminal block that's connecting the cable with the fitting, Without having a proper look there is no way of knowing for sure I hope this helps
