How far does a power point need to be from a gas cooker?

I have a powerpoint that is above the worktop in my kitchen just in the hot zone of my gas cooker. As I want a new cooker I would like to get this powerpoint moved. My question before I post my job is how far from the hot zone does the powerpoint need to be? I can then work out how far it needs to be moved.
