Water feature and outdoor socket

Posted by Jo Lee, on
What would a rough coating be to wire up a water feature pump & light. The water feature is in place, the wire is under soil and chased through concrete to house wall where the electrician would need to lead it into the cellar where there are sockets and run it up to the top of cellar stairs for a switch. Also, to fit an outdoor double socket (same location on house wall where water feature wires will be fed)

Hi Joanne A few questions of our own to give you the best advise back. 1. What cable was used for the wiring already installed ? Size in mm2 for the conductors ? Depth cable was buried at ? Length of run of the cable ? Full length from pump to distribution board. 2. What is the wattage of your water pump ? 3. Condition of current distribution board being connected to ? 4. Earth bonding in place ? Various but main earth bonding, water bonding, gas bonding. 5. Outdoor sockets, these can either simply be “backed off” of an indoor socket and added into the existing ring or it may need wiring via external graded cabling or conduit depending on circumstances. There are many variables to give an exact cost for your work, but once we have a reply we can best advise. Many thanks Dan Electrical and mechanical engineer Ktech group
