Power supply to a shed from final ring main

Posted by Vincent Gifford, on
I want to run power to my shed for lights and the convenience to use of my power tools, rather than just using an extension lead from an exterior power socket, My primary requirements is to do this safely and then cost effectively. What would you recommend, 1 - Run SWA from the exterior socket to the shed and then add a FCU spur with 2 twin Sockets 2 - Run SWA from the exterior socket to the shed and then add an RCD spur with 2 Twin Sockets 3 - Some thing else My intention is to use this information to post a job to Rated people and have the job done professionally and safely but I really don't know the best way to do this avoiding the huge cost of running SWA from the consumer unit from the garage to the shed, the cost would be prohibitive. Thanks
