Gas hob below electricity meter

Posted by James Paterson, on
Where I want to put my hob is below where my electricity meter is. The meter is above the hot zone of 750mm will that be an issue. Also am I able to put a non-ducted extractor hood inbetween the meter and the hob below?

Hello James, Your electricity meter should be installed so you or relevant authorities can conveniently read the meter. Located away from source of heat as it is very likely you can damage the meter. Accessories should be installed a minimum of 100mm horizontally from the edge of the hob. Minimum distance between gas hob and extractor hood is 650mm. Hope it helps. Regards Tom
