Which power cable would I need for a freestanding electric cooker?

Posted by Cole McLister, on
I bought a Flavel Cooker FSBE50W. I bought a Twin & Earth 6242Y 6.0mm2 cable and I've installed it but the cooker isn't working. I have replaced the fuse in my electric box (specifically for the cooker) but it's still not working. Would using the 6.0mm2 cable be causing the issue? The tech specs in the Flavel manual are as follows: Voltage: 220 - 240 V - 50 Hz Total power consumption: 7.9 kW Fuse: 25A Cable type: H05W-FG 3 x 2.5mm2 or equivalent Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Cole
