My tumble dryer belt had snapped. But it doesn't work now.

I asked a tradeperson to fix the belt on my tumble dryer. He did this with a replacement belt. Now the container does not collect water after a cycle! He did not put it back together properly and the front panel has not been fixed to the side panel. I am really concerened that this could be dangerous. I got the trades person from this site.
