My oak wooden flooring in one of my rooms is now bowing/raised and seems to be causing some cracks to the skirting and walls. Can anyone advise how to fix this?

Hi Sonal first of all you will need a dehumidifier in the room to take away any moisture in the room and air this should cause the floor to level out but may take a day or two depending on size of room When floor is level the expansion gap around the outside of the flooring needs to be adjusted to a minimum of 10mm The easiest way to cut flooring after any trims have been removed is to use a sonic saw then you will not need to lift any boards After the gap is equal all the way round then refit trims or skirting remembering to only fix trim/skirting to walls and not to the floor this allows the floor to float Regards Dave
