The correct way to install solid oak onto concrete is to direct bond it, this onvolves painting a liquid damp proof membrane onto the subfloor and then using a permanently flexible adhesive direct to the concrete, no glues should be used in the tongue & groove. You can use a trowel system or a gun applied adhesive which can be combined with a notched underlay (warmer) pics of this can be seen on our profile. You can also use the DIY adhesive underlay but personally I think it's a hassle. If you want a price please visit our section of the site and ask us to quote, we cover a large area.

A solid oak floor should never be floated due to the expansion & contraction it will experience.
