Joining two areas of laminate without a bar

Posted by Carole Barnett, on
I have just had a lovely extension built, however the builders offered to lay my laminate floor that was to be joined up with existing floor making it just one open plan area. However, they made a bad job of it and used a transition bar between the two rooms and it has spoiled the whole look of the area. Is there any way I can marry up the two rooms without a bar, even if it means taking the original part of floor up and replacing it with new.

hi carole it should be possible to do the room without a bar in the middle unless it is over 10 mtrs long in which case most manufactures would recommend a door bar break in it , I hope this helps .alan
