Re: 'House converted in a Flat... Soundproofing the floors

Posted by Darren Lee, on
I have moved into a House that been converted into a flat. I am on the 2nd floor and have ongoing problem with the people below as I can hear quite clear all everyday living issues. It is really starting to annoy me.. and would be grateful of any soundproofing idea? The problem in the property is that all floors in it are wooden. Even put Carpet down 1 room still not solving the problem..

Hi darren try googling acoustilay which is a sound proofing underlay for carpets and wood flooring it is very expensive but it is good although it doesnt get rid of all the noise but will greatly reduce it. Hope this helps . Alan
