What is the best way to seal very old quarry tiles and the best way to level these prior to fitting a carpet?

you can paint tiles with damp proof membrane then scatter sand when dry cover all area with self levelling compound

Hi Nick NO need to do anything if laying carpet. The only time one would need to address this if you are laying Solid/ Engineered or Laminate. Hope this helps Jeff

I would personally take them up if you dont want them and level the floor with a self levelling compound
