Hi Helen, i have used the excell underlay many times with quickstep flooring,but they say to keep all warranties valid you should use the quickstep underlay.Hand on heart if your flooring is installed correctly then warranties count for nothing, so using your excell you shoud not have a problem,However the fibreboards personally i would not use as you are already 5mm at your doorways and then the thickness of your laminate so you have a minimum of at least 12mm.i am more than happy to answer any questions you may have if you want to get in touch.Regards john select floors
