Self levelling a garage floor

Posted by Andy Steward, on
I have just had my garage extended from single width to double, so now a floor area of 32sgm. Half of the floor is existing concrete and the new half has also had concrete layed to meet where the old floor finished. I am looking to use self-levelling compound across the whole floor so that there is no obvious transition and any imperfections can be hidden. How soon can i use this kind of compound on top of a "new" concrete slab? and how much much material should I need?

Hi Andy the coverage for most self levelling compounds is 4sqm per bag at a thickness of 3mm so based on that you would need 8 bags but if it needs to be thicker then adjust the quantity accordingly

I would give it at least 2/3 days and if you check the coverage on bag of self level compound to work out how many bags needed

What would you like to do now?
