If they are proper floor boards then cross them this more important for the flooring stability, if it's chipboard floor boards then you can lay them either way

Hi If it's solid wood . Do not attempt to lay on chipboard by nailing or glueing. If it is floorboards do not lay the same way, as the wood will be in danger of expanding more It's its engineered just remember the subfloor. I have seen some responses on flooring and I'm very appalled at the advice given Remember it's your home and your money. Do rush into laying the floor straight away as it will cost you badly Jeff
