Parquet flooring needs cleaning and repairing

Posted by Carla Eastwood, on
I have recently moved into a house with original parquet flooring. It's dirty and parts are worn and generally needs some care. I've been too scared of damaging the flooring to do anything with it. How should I go about cleaning, sanding and resealing it? Thanks

If the floor is not worn and extremly dirty you can just grab some 150-220 grit sandpaper, buff the whole surface by hand verry good, hoover everything perfectly and add 2 coats of Junkers Strong varnish satin or matt by choice on the whole surface using a ROLLER. But keep in mind you can only do this if the floor is not verry worn and does not have scratches on it. If you want a perfect finish on the whole floor i recomend sanding the wole thing and varnishing. Best regards Robert Vlas
