Joining different level and concrete floor

Posted by Martha Farqua, on
I have a room with half concrete and half floorboards. The concrete is slightly higher than the floor boards. Previously there has been a slight slope put in with concrete but this has since crumbled and now I have a trench between the two floors. Any ideas? I really would like to avoid lifting the wooden floor as this will creat a step into the room.

Hi there would depend how deep the trench is but one thing is for sure a mortar based repair won't be a great use as the vibrations travel 2 Easley threw timber and causes it to break up. Future floor covering is key as well if you have Carpet more easer to hide ie double up underlay in that section vinyls Lvt etc mimic the surface they sit on and need to be spot on
