Level floor for laminate flooring

Posted by Michele Horner, on
We have a concrete floor that has had laminate flooring laid down which creaked in a number of places. What is the best way to level this and any ideas of costs? It is a kitchen and dining area that is open plan and about 30sqm

Evening Michele You will need to self level floor with levelling compound. A fair price including materials around 250-300 pounds

Evening Michele I'm guess that the floor has a few hollow points under where the squeak are coming from. It's an easy fix once you get to the sub floor. If it's concrete base then latex the low points If it's timber it's little tricker. Costing Materials needed shouldn't run to high Labour will depend on how long repairs take, Look to be paying between £135-180 per day for a qualified floor layer.
